Synopsis: La Buena Vida “ The Good Life” is the story of the Colombian village of Tamaquito, told against a global backdrop of rising energy consumption being driven by the pursuit of growth and affluence.
Biography: Jens Schanze was born in Bonn in 1971. After completing his civil service, Schanze first studied forestry in Munich but then moved to a television production company. He made his first film in Bolivia for an environmental foundation. From 1995 he studied at HFF Munich. For Otzenrather Sprung he and his cameraman, Bárres Weiffenbach, won the Adolf Grimme Preis in 2002 and the Bayerischen Fernsehpreis. In the same year, together with Judith Malek-Mahdavi, Schanze founded the production company Mascha Film in Munich.
