The film tells the story of Ali Kader Erol who lives in İstanbul. He learns about sourdough incidentally and starts baking bread by using experimental methods. Then one day after a bike ride he saves himself from Istanbul and starts living in Tenedos. In this fim, the blending of sourdough, wheat and Tenedos, the amazing bacterial world of Tenedos and breads made with sourdough are waiting for you.
Ertugrul Musluoglu was born in Edremit, Balikesir in 1989. After graduating from the Music Department of Fine Arts High School, he continued his education in Y.T.U. at Arts and Design Faculty and received education in sound design. After working in studios and concerts for a long time, he started to engage himself with cinema and visual arts. He made short films and promotional films. ‘Sourdough’ is the first short feature documentary of the director.
