53% of the selected films were directed by women. All films were screened with English and Turkish subtitles. Screenings were free of charge.

Mother Earth’s Symbolic Journey Workshop
This year, the festival award statuette was selected from among the works created during the “Mother Earth’s Symbolic Journey Workshop” held as part of the festival.

Above all else, BIFED’s greatest strength is, of course, the people of Bozcaada, who have stood by and supported the festival for twelve years.
Thanks to this support, BIFED has become not only an ecological documentary festival, but also a symbol of solidarity and collective production.
