Synopsis

Walid and his family, who had been having a difficult life in Somalia and had to migrate to Turkey, are sent to Burdur. Walid, facing the drought in Burdur which he ran away from Somalia, is struggling his life, as well.

About Director

Evrim İnci was born in January 1992 in Izmir. In 2015, she graduated from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at Yaşar University, Izmir, as the top student of the faculty. Later, she joined the International Volunteer Project SERVAS and went to Antakya to teach cinema to children. There she completed her short documentary called “Kameralı Çocuklar” so that the short had been screened in more than forty festivals. After she returned from Antakya, she started to organize a film workshop for migrant children at UNICEF’s Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants. Meanwhile, she shot the documentary “Paradoks Bir Koşu” about horse racing culture and participated in many international festivals. At the same time, she started working as a cinematographer in BeStyle fashion magazine. In 2019, she completed her master’s degree in Film Design at Dokuz Eylül University, Izmir, with a thesis on “Human Representation and Presentation in Nature Films”. Then, she began her duty as an Executive Producer on TRT Documentary channel which she still continues.
