Synopsis: “Another Way”” asks whether a citizens’ experiment developing new partnership models between consumers and farmers has the power to change society. Starting with the solidarity purchase group of which she is a member, the director joins a dynamic network that takes her on a journey from Brussels to Zagreb to meet a rapidly-growing movement, CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture). As eaters and producers re-establish a direct link, they set up an alternative, short channel, mode of consumption that is mindful of all living things. Through food, which concerns everyone, the CSA experiment puts the human factor back at the center of exchanges. Can we become agents of change?
Director: Anne Closset is at the same time a camerawoman, a screenwriter, a director and a producer. She has a gift for getting involved in projects that challenge our identities and our utopia. With her video camera, she enjoys recording exceptional experiences with her sensitivity that contributes to her bringing a variety of subtle colours to her movies. During the filming process, she sets up very specific participatory mechanisms that allow for the expression of different and enriching points of view and actions. In this new project, Anne Closset turns her attention to the Brussels network of GASAP. “Another Way (with Vegetables)” is her sixth auteur documentary.
